The movie shoot kick-started with the photoshoot on June 2018 at London. The title of the movie Kaappaan was announced with first look poster on 31st December 2018. Suriya plays a NSG commando in this movie and director KV Anand says “#Kaappaan is on a mission to save you” via twitter.
